2017 Started the New year off with a Bang and it only seemed to get better with each upcoming game release! Nintendo started the year with a re-imagined Zelda and ended it with new Super Mario game. Various other games and franchises returned to widespread acclaim. From a new Resident Evil to the return of a classic-style Sonic the Hedgehog game, there was never a better time to be a gamer.

2017 might have the strongest, most consistent year of quality games in quite long time.

So as a First for the retro VGM revival hour, We will be playing some selected tracks from the various games of 2017.

known for his friendly approach to Nintendo fans around the world, it would be no surprise that mister Iwata was an immensely popular figure both within the industry and with Nintendo fans, he will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Mr. Iwata.

STAGE 28: The Legend of ZELDA

The Legend of Zelda (or known in japan as ゼルダの伝説 Zeruda no Densetsu) is a high-fantasy action-adventure video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka in 1986 and first appeared on the Famicom Disk System in japan Before being later converted into a cartridge game for the American Nintendo Entertainment System.

Centered around link, a green capped hero of Hyrule who must must save Princess Zelda and defeat the Evil wizard Ganon. The series’ gameplay incorporates elements of action, adventure, puzzle solving and exploration. This franchise has spanned every console in Nintendo’s History and spawned products like cartoons, Manga , toys , and even breakfast cereal making it one of Nintendo’s most prominent franchises.
